On The Air
I was part of a wild morning show in the Northwest where I wore many hats;
co-host, feature reporter and my main gig, produce and anchor weather for the
two-hour show, Good Morning Northwest. I was one of three anchors with the
launch of the show a couple years ago. The team encouraged creativity so I was
able to play a unique role going live to do weather and report, conducting
interviews in and outside the studio, but also having my own entertaining
segments. I am currently working toward my CBM and Meteorology degree. I bring
energy and accuracy to my forecasts and stories everyday. I'm not the weather
gal who was tracking storms when I was 5, but weather did play a big part in my
life as a kid. Born in January, I had to cancel birthday parties because of wind
storms. I can't even tell you how many times that happened. In Jr. High I was on
the track team and I prayed it wouldn't rain during my hurdle races. Hurdle races
are scary enough without rain! One year, just one year it didn't rain once during
any of my races!! In high school we had to cancel a track meet for wind which was
weird for that time of year. Amazing for the Northwest!!
Anyway, Before Good Morning Northwest was on-air, I spent time as a general
assignment reporter covering fires, city issues and everything in between.
